NutriGenius Does Extensive Research for a Healthier Future NutriGenius Does Extensive Research for a Healthier Future

Nutrigenius is committed to contribute to the advancement of science towards a healthier and more sustainable planet. Our research focus is on chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and certain forms of cancer that have been dubbed “penalties of obesity”.

Although we do not directly work on communicable diseases, evidence suggest that improving general health and reducing the "overfat" pandemic will have a positive impact on infectious conditions too, as insulin resistance and overfat reduces the potency of the immune response.

We are proud to be home to experts with proven track record and publications in the fields of nutrition and dietetics, exercise, mental health, obesity, diabetes, sleep, chronobiology, neurobiology, molecular biology, stem cells and regenerative medicine.

Our R&D department continues to conduct both basic as well as applied research to elucidate mechanisms of disease and come up with innovative solutions to better human health and the health of our planet.

Research Activities and Projects

  • Elucidating biological mechanisms at the cellular and molecular level
  • Applying molecular biophysics methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and x-ray crystallography to solve atomic structures
  • Improving clinical outcomes via lifestyle modifications
  • Dissecting national datasets to identify areas in need for improvement
  • Conducting financial outcomes research and providing in-depth cost-effectiveness reports
  • Collecting healthcare professionals’ views to improve clinical practice
  • Listening to and addressing patients’ needs
  • Evaluating the use of technology to enhance adherence to treatment
  • Making informed recommendations to guide public health initiatives
