I was the stereotypical girl, I didn’t want to do weights as I was scared I would bulk up. I first started squatting after having surgery, I was unable to walk for a month and had lost all my muscle and fitness. I could barely squat 40kg. In less than a year of following George’s Diet and Training plan I am stronger than ever. In February 2013, I competed in my first Raw Powerlifting competition. I won the “Best novice female lifter” and “Best overall female lifter” awards. In June 2013 I broke the national record for the squat and I now rank as Australia’s second strongest woman in the Raw Powerlifting competition. I give George all of the credit for my success, there is no way I could have done any of this without his guidance and support. My goal is to become Australia’s strongest woman! With my current PB’s I am very close to my goal! My fear of bulking up was also proven wrong, I am leaner and curvier than ever. I am now obsessed with weights and have not stepped into a group fitness class since.
Sophia JamedI have always trained hard and kept in the best shape I can. It wasn’t until I sat down with George to talk training and diet, got a specific food plan that fit in well with my lifestyle, that I was able to get into the best shape I have ever been in, giving me the confidence to enter the ANB Asia-pacific fitness model championship. With George’s help, I have been able to make continual improvements and I intend to be on stage in even better shape at this year’s fitness model championships!
John FeainTraining with George, along with following a structured diet created by him, has improved my health and physical appearance. When I signed up for a 12 week training plan I was unsure what to expect. I wanted to push myself and learn new things, least to say my expectations have been exceeded above and beyond. I’ve learnt numerous new things that I now implement into my fitness routine. George has helped motivate me and reach new personal bests. My strength has improved immensely and overall I feel exceptionally healthy. It has been a pleasure training with George and I am looking forward to my ongoing sessions.
Alexandra DankwaI first started training with George a little over 7 months ago. As a trainer myself, I was extremely happy to have found George as it was important to learn from the best. I’ve had a back injury, which had put me out of action for over 12 months, so after my initial assessment with George, the first 12 weeks was mostly rehab. I found George extremely inspiring with his no excuse approach towards his clients and also his own training, which has really changed and continues to change my mindset. What he didn’t know was that he inspired me so much that I was itching to get into Powerlifting, but I kept it to myself as I was unable to do 2 of the 3 lifts. I asked to squat and deadlift on a few occasions, but George asked me stick to the plan and only let me perform these exercises when he felt I was ready. So when George asked me if I was interested in doing Powerlifting, I didn’t have to think twice. I did doubt my abilities though, as I had always been naturally better with endurance than strength, but George made me believe I could do it. Well he was certainly right, and after 5 months of competition preparation, we were able to break all the national masters records like he had planned for me. What impressed me was that my whole 5 months of programming was laid out in front of me before we even started training and we never deviated from the plan. Although it was hard work, I looked forward to every training session with George. Each session we pushed harder and harder, but in a safe manner, as he totally understood my injury. The great thing about being coached by George is that he has a way of getting the best out of you, and you never want to let him down. During training he is extremely professional and it’s all business but after training he takes the time to also be a great friend in which I can’t thank him enoug. I’m looking to what the future brings as I have just received my next 8 week training block in preparation for the nationals. I know I’m in the best possible hands so with confidence I can say we’ll be smashing some bigger numbers. Thanks again George for sharing your great knowledge and being the most incredible coach.
Jim TulunI’ve played sport, trained for years and always thought I ate well. However, my body shape and fitness never really changed no matter how hard I pushed myself. That all changed once I started training with George. I’ve had better results in 12 weeks with George than I’ve had in 3 years on my own. I put that all down to George’s knowledge of nutrition (on which he educates other trainers on given his numerous qualifications), a tailored eating plan for me based on my goals and which we discuss regularly and the fact that when we train he pushes me to train ‘properly’ for the first time ever, focusing on technique and body parts that I need to work on rather than my favourites and the same old exercises week on week. I really enjoy training with George and for the first time in a long time I am enjoying training on my own too. I would definitely recommend George.
Todd StevensonI was looking for motivation and help to train around some injuries that had stopped me from training in the last couple of years and as a result I was putting on weight. I approached George, who developed my training plan and diet regime. I enjoyed the fact that he tried to keep my diet as close as possible to my food preferences. After one week I was already feeling better and had a lot more energy. It took only a few training sessions to see that George has the knowledge and passion to motivate and help me (or anyone really) to achieve my goals. His focus on getting my form right was the most important from the beginning as he knew that if I didn’t have it right I would re-injure myself again. Over the weeks of training with George, he has always been there to push me through the tough sessions where I doubt myself, has given me a positive attitude and has answered any questions I may have in regards to training and nutrition. Most importantly, the nerve impingement I have had the past few years, is finally getting better. Before I started training with George I could not pick up a 10kg dumbbell off the floor. Within months of training with George, I was able to deadlift 200kg! It has been a pleasure to train with George and I would highly recommend George as a trainer and nutritionist for anyone wanting to achieve results.
